Veľký ortodoxný kostol bol vybudovaný v roku 1907. Jeho príbeh sa podobá príbehu neologickej synagógy. Vedenie obce budovu predalo v roku 1955 a následne stála takmer 40 rokov prázdna. V súčasnosti je súčasťou komplexu budov miestneho Zariadenia pre seniorov. Skutočnosť, že ide o  bývalú synagógu, pripomína okoloidúcim okno zdobené Dávidovou hviezdou.

1907-ben felépült az ortodox Nagytemplom, története a neológ zsinagógáéhoz hasonló, 1955-ben adta el a hitközség vezetősége, majdnem 40 évig állt üresen, jelenleg felújítva a városi Idősek otthonának része. Az egykori zsinagógára egy hatágú csillagot ábrázoló ablak hívja fel az arra járók figyelmét.

By 1907, the orthodox Great Synagogue was built. Its history is quite similar to that of the neolog synagogue; in 1955, the leadership of the Jewish Community decided to sell it. For forty years, it was abandoned.  Following renovation, the building has served as part of the municipal old age homes. A window shaped as a six-pointed star is an allusion to its former function as synagogue.

Die Große Orthodoxe Kirche wurde 1907 gebaut, ihre Geschichte ähnelt der Neolog-Synagoge, 1955 wurde sie von der Gemeindeleitung verkauft, stand fast 40 Jahre lang leer; heute ist sie Teil des städtischen Altersheims. Ein Fenster mit einem sechszackigen Stern zieht die Aufmerksamkeit der Besucher auf  die ehemalige Synagoge hin.
